Losing a loved one is probably one of the hardest things we all have to go through. The loss can be so overwhelming to the extent of being crippling. You know you ought to pull yourself together so that you can handle your responsibilities, but the sadness and anger and hopelessness of the loss keeps you down.
We understand that it is not always easy to bounce back to your normal self after a significant loss. While sometimes the brain maybe protecting you from the pain of it all by making you numb, at some point the emotions will flood back.
As your mind begins to wrap around the reality of the situation, you will go through the motions. You will get angry and depressed before you can finally accept the loss. You have to through the grief until you can accept the loss.
